Rieter, a leading company in spinning technology, has reported a notable rise in order intake for 2024.

The company secured orders worth CHF 725.5 million in 2024, marking a 34% increase compared to the CHF 541.8 million recorded in 2023. This growth reflects a recovery in the market following a period of stagnation.

However, the low order intake in 2023 had a ripple effect on Rieter’s turnover in 2024. Preliminary figures indicate total sales for the year amounted to CHF 859.1 million, a sharp 39% decline from the CHF 1,418.6 million achieved in 2023.

Breaking it down further, the Machines and Systems Division recorded sales of CHF 424.9 million in 2024, a significant drop of 56% from the previous year. Meanwhile, the Components Division saw a 7% dip in sales, reaching CHF 247.6 million. The After Sales Division remained stable, with sales holding steady at CHF 186.6 million.
