Pakistan-based textile manufacturer Interloop has entered into a formal partnership with Fashion for Good, the global innovation platform dedicated to driving meaningful change across the fashion and apparel industry. The collaboration brings together Interloop’s deep manufacturing expertise with Fashion for Good’s extensive network of brands, technology developers, industry partners and funders.
As part of the arrangement, Interloop will join Fashion for Good’s Innovation Committee, where it will actively contribute to the platform’s technology-scouting priorities. The company will also engage in foundational projects and collaborative pilot programmes, using the network to connect with emerging sustainable fashion innovation solutions and the developers behind them.
A Structured Approach to Technology Evaluation
The partnership is designed to give Interloop a structured pathway for assessing potential solutions before any implementation decisions are made. This process will include evaluating technical readiness, expected impact and operational relevance — allowing the manufacturer to make well-informed choices about which technologies align with its production capabilities and sustainability goals.
Interloop Chief Marketing Officer Faryal Sadiq stated: “The industry has no shortage of promising ideas; the opportunity lies in turning more of them into solutions that can work at scale. Through this partnership, we want to bring our manufacturing experience into that process while learning from and collaborating with some of the strongest innovators and partners across the industry.”
About Interloop
Interloop is headquartered in Faisalabad, Pakistan, and operates through vertically integrated facilities that produce hosiery, denim, knitted apparel and seamless activewear. The company holds LEED-certified facilities, Fair Trade certification and is a member of the United Nations Global Compact — credentials that reflect its commitment to responsible and green manufacturing practices.
Fashion for Good and Its Innovation Mission
Fashion for Good was launched in 2017 with a mandate to support innovation and systemic change across the global fashion industry. The platform connects a broad ecosystem of brands, retailers, suppliers, technology developers and funders, positioning itself as a central hub for sustainable fashion innovation.
In August of this year, Fashion for Good launched Project DW(O)R-X, an initiative focused on evaluating alternatives to PFAS-based durable water- and oil-repellent finishes. The project aims to generate comparable data on emerging chemistries to support better-informed sourcing decisions and technology assessments across the industry. PFAS alternatives have become a growing area of focus within the broader push for green manufacturing, as brands and suppliers look to move away from persistent chemical treatments.
The partnership between Interloop and Fashion for Good reflects a broader industry effort to bridge the gap between emerging sustainable fashion innovation and the manufacturing infrastructure needed to bring those innovations to scale.
