Obertshausen, Germany – May 26, 2026 – KARL MAYER, a prominent name in the textile machinery sector, recently concluded a comprehensive “Get-together Week” in Türkiye, underscoring the nation’s long-standing significance as a key market and strategic partner. This initiative aimed to foster deeper engagement with customers, focusing on joint innovation, future developments, and shared objectives. The company’s connection with Türkiye dates back to 1951, when the first KARL MAYER warp knitting machine was installed in Bursa, marking the commencement of an enduring and successful relationship.

Lutz Wolf, CEO of KARL MAYER, emphasized the company’s perspective on the Türkiye market: “For us, Türkiye is much more than just a market – it is a central part of our future, which we would like to build together with you. Our customers’ success is our benchmark. We think and develop from the textile to the machine – with a clear focus on innovation power, solutions that enable new applications, and speed.” This philosophy guided the intensive discussions and exchanges held throughout the week.

The event saw top management and specialized experts from Germany, alongside regional partner Erko, visiting numerous customers. Additionally, management meetings and technical sessions were hosted at KARL MAYER’s facility in Bursa. A significant highlight was the in-house event, “Let’s talk Warp Knit,” which attracted approximately 40 customers. Participants engaged in tailored sessions, including technical presentations, in-depth workshops, and micro-training modules designed to offer new perspectives and insights relevant to their work.

The content of the “Get-together Week” was specifically curated to address the immediate needs of the customers. Key areas of focus included the latest advancements in tricot machines, a preview of innovations to be showcased at the upcoming ITM trade show, and textile innovations developed with the specific demands of the Türkiye market in mind. The extensive service offerings of KARL MAYER were also a central theme, as were the opportunities presented by the new TEXTILE INNOVATION CENTER located at the company’s headquarters in Obertshausen. The interactive nature of these sessions, which allowed for ample question-and-answer time, was particularly well-received and provided valuable feedback for KARL MAYER’s strategic planning and goal setting.

This close market understanding serves as a crucial foundation for KARL MAYER in developing solutions for novel applications and creating market-relevant innovations that deliver tangible value to its clientele. The intensive dialogue during the “Get-together Week” highlighted significant potential, particularly within the realm of design fabrics for the fashion and apparel sector. There is a growing importance placed on flexibly configurable jacquard patterns and lace. Concurrently, the demand for apparel featuring crepe-like textured surfaces continues to be robust. In response to these trends, KARL MAYER plans to feature the HKS 4-M EL ECO, a highly efficient production machine, at the ITM trade show. The global player will be exhibiting at Booth 3/303 A in the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul from June 9 to 13, 2026. This ongoing dialogue reinforces KARL MAYER’s commitment to innovation and collaboration within the dynamic Türkiye market.
