HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — April 16, 2025 — Blackburn, UK-based nonwoven textile manufacturer Cosmotec Nonwovens has joined forces with global industrial leader Airtech Advanced Materials Group, enhancing its capabilities and reach throughout Europe.

Airtech Advanced Materials Group, a leading supplier of high-performance materials headquartered in Huntington Beach, California, has acquired the UK-based specialist manufacturer Cosmotec Nonwovens in a strategic initiative to expand its presence in Europe and diversify its product offerings across various industrial sectors.

The cross-border deal was facilitated by corporate finance advisors Headpoint Advisors, who represented Cosmotec’s parent company, Cha Technologies Group—a Swiss-based conglomerate involved in textiles, real estate, technology, healthcare, and financial services.

Cosmotec Nonwovens, established in Blackburn, produces custom needle-punched and air-bonded nonwoven textiles from its eight-acre facility located in the UK’s historic textile manufacturing region. Its products cater to the geotextile, filtration, construction, and automotive industries, earning a reputation for specialized engineering, quick lead times, and high-quality technical output.

This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Cosmotec, which will become a crucial component of Airtech’s global operations. With existing facilities across the US, Europe, and Asia, Airtech provides advanced materials to the aerospace, composites, defense, and automotive sectors. By integrating Cosmotec’s capabilities, Airtech will bolster its European manufacturing base and enhance its service offerings for global customers with a wider array of nonwoven solutions.
