Circ, a US-based innovator in textile recycling, has formed a strategic alliance with Arvind Limited, one of India’s largest integrated textile and apparel manufacturers.

This partnership entails Arvind’s commitment to sourcing Circ’s lyocell staple fibre and polyester chips for integration into its large-scale apparel and garment production for five years.

This agreement represents a pivotal advancement in enhancing access to Circ’s recycled polyester and lyocell products, significantly boosting the availability of next-generation recycled fibres for the global brands served by Arvind. It aims to catalyze the adoption of textile-to-textile materials throughout the industry, underscoring the significance of the Circ and Arvind partnership for recycled textiles.

“This partnership continues a new chapter in the textile industry where scale and sustainability work hand in hand,” stated Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ. “By joining forces with one of the largest players in global textiles, we’re making textile-to-textile fibres available to more brands and unlocking circularity at true commercial scale.”

Leveraging its extensive global supply chain and wide customer reach, Arvind will play a crucial role in accelerating the commercialization of Circ’s circular materials, facilitating their widespread application.

This partnership is an extension of the already established relationship between Circ and Arvind, which has included various product trials and collaborative projects—most notably Circ’s Fiber Club. As a prominent manufacturer, Arvind’s capacity to procure and integrate recycled fibres into its production processes ensures that numerous brands can benefit from Circ’s circular inputs, further solidifying the importance of the Circ and Arvind partnership for recycled textiles.

“Our partnership with Circ brings innovative recycled materials into our supply chain at scale. It enables us to offer our brand partners high-quality circular fibre solutions that align with our commitment to the future of sustainable fashion,” noted Abhishek Bansal, senior vice president of sustainability at Arvind Limited.
