Gordon Brothers, renowned global asset experts, has made a significant move by acquiring the LK Bennett brand and its associated intellectual property from the Joint Administrators of LK Bennett Fashion Limited.

Established in the 1990s by Linda Bennett, LK Bennett began its journey with a single boutique in Wimbledon, London. It has grown into a premier destination known for its sophisticated, elegant fashion, including exclusive ready-to-wear items and its iconic collection of shoes, bags, and accessories. This British heritage brand is highly regarded for its wearable elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, earning a reputation as a hallmark of luxury in London.

“LK Bennett is a beloved heritage brand with a reputation for impeccable craftsmanship and quality, and a distinctly British spirit,” said Tobias Nanda, Head of Brands at Gordon Brothers. “We are excited to add LK Bennett to our portfolio of brands and proud to steward the brand into the next phase of growth, bringing LK Bennett’s modern luxury to both long-time followers and new customers from around the world.”

With the acquisition of LK Bennett, Gordon Brothers plans to implement various market strategies aimed at enhancing relationships with retailers and expanding the brand’s reach through innovative marketing initiatives that delight consumers. The focus will be on transitioning LK Bennett to an asset-light model, akin to the successful revitalization strategy employed for the Laura Ashley brand globally.

Since 2003, Gordon Brothers has actively invested in and partnered with some of the most iconic brands worldwide, including Laura Ashley, Nicole Miller, Telefunken, and Rachel Zoe. By managing a diverse portfolio of brands, the firm prioritizes expansion through licensing, enhancing physical retail and e-commerce presence while fostering strategic wholesale and retail partnerships. Additionally, Gordon Brothers is committed to investing in product development and marketing efforts for its brand portfolio.
