Moscow, 13 March 2025 – Moscow Fashion Week, scheduled from March 13 to 18, will feature 200 designers, emphasizing Asian powerhouses like China, India, and Indonesia. This event provides a crucial platform for designers to access international markets and connect with a global audience of millions.

Taking place in the Russian capital, the event offers exciting opportunities for cultural exchange and business growth, especially for Asian brands aiming to penetrate the Russian and Eastern European markets, all eager to establish a presence on the global stage.

Experts from Malaysia, where the textile industry has been a cornerstone of the economy, are excited about the participation of their colleagues who have confirmed attendance at the event. Asian brands consistently return to Moscow Fashion Week season after season, attracted by the limitless opportunities available for their businesses.

Renowned Chinese designer Li Ying, the creative force behind the I-LA label, expressed her enthusiasm for participating in the event, describing it as the most significant fashion event in Russia.

“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, the Chinese textile industry has developed rapidly, and over time, more Chinese brands have entered the Russian market. This not only promotes cultural exchange but also shows the development of Chinese brands in the Russian market. Moscow Fashion Week is an excellent platform for developing her brand in Russia,” Li Ying believes.

India will present a combined showcase featuring two remarkable brands—CoEK – Khadi India and Samant Chauhan. Their designs merge national artistic traditions with vibrant hand embroidery, ethnic motifs, botanical patterns, and unique fabrics, all while incorporating modern European aesthetics.

Indonesia returns to Moscow Fashion Week, introducing fresh talent through Syukriah Rusydi’s brand REBORN29. Rusydi noted that her participation could enhance Indonesia’s fashion profile in Russia and Eastern Europe, encouraging collaborations with buyers, distributors, and local retailers.

“With the increasing awareness of sustainable fashion, I believe that REBORN29’s collection can compete and be well received in the Russian market,” she added.

The event will also showcase prominent Russian designers such as Alena Musaeva and Sergey Sysoev, along with numerous talented creatives from across the nation. This year’s fashion week has seen an overwhelming number of applications, reinforcing its status as a major international fashion event. Journalists, celebrities, fashion enthusiasts, and buyers are expected to congregate at Moscow Fashion Week, creating a dynamic blend of socio-cultural, economic, and diplomatic dimensions that advance the industry and foster international cooperation.
