ZURICH, Switzerland — Gherzi Textil Organisation AG has officially announced a strategic growth initiative involving the expansion of its North American operations. As part of this transition, the firm has renamed its Gherzi-USA division to Gherzi Americas. This change reflects a significantly broader mandate that encompasses the United States, Canada, and Latin America, focusing on the regional textile supply chain and apparel sectors.
The Gherzi Americas expansion will be spearheaded by Robert Antoshak, who assumes the role of Managing Partner. Joining the leadership team as Partners are Radhika Shrinivas and David Uricoli. This specialized team is tasked with providing expert counsel to brands, retailers, manufacturers, and investors. Their advisory services will also extend to government agencies and technology providers, specifically regarding sourcing strategy, manufacturing development, and the mitigation of trade exposure.
Leadership Expertise and Regional Sourcing Strategy
Giuseppe Gherzi, representing the Zurich-based Gherzi Textil Organisation, emphasized that the firm has consistently operated at the intersection of technical textile expertise and practical business judgment. He noted that the launch of Gherzi Americas establishes a more robust platform in one of the world’s most critical regions, bringing together a leadership group with deep internal industry knowledge.
The leadership team brings diverse experience to the Gherzi Americas expansion. Robert Antoshak has spent decades focused on textiles, apparel sourcing, and trade strategy. Radhika Shrinivas offers extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management, while David Uricoli’s background includes commercial strategy, ESG implementation, and supply chain risk assessment. Together, they will help clients navigate manufacturing development and optimize their operational improvements within the United States and beyond.
Navigating Geopolitical Risks and Trade Exposure
The new entity will also benefit from the support of Uday Gill, a Partner at Gherzi Textil Organisation AG based in Vancouver, Canada. Gill will collaborate with the regional team while maintaining his global consulting practices across the textile supply chain. This integrated approach is designed to help companies evaluate new sourcing regions and enhance factory capacity.
According to Antoshak, companies operating throughout the United States and the broader Americas are currently re-evaluating long-standing business assumptions. He identified tariffs, shifting sourcing patterns, and compliance demands as central factors in modern competition. The primary objective of Gherzi Americas is to assist clients in making informed decisions regarding trade exposure and supply chain resilience that remain viable in a complex geopolitical landscape.
Gherzi added that generic consulting is insufficient for the current needs of the region. He stated that clients require advisors who possess a fundamental understanding of textiles, manufacturing, and trade execution. The Gherzi Americas expansion is specifically structured to meet these requirements, working in close coordination with the Gherzi Textil Organisation global network to provide a refined regional focus on a comprehensive sourcing strategy.
