AI Summary

Swedish premium footwear brand Kanso is set to launch the Kanso Dragonfly shoes, specifically crafted for indoor sports such as handball, volleyball, and badminton.

These innovative shoes feature the patented NexX4 technology developed by Verona-based JV International. This breakthrough not only changes the way shoe soles are designed but also transforms the entire approach to shoe conception and manufacturing, focusing on the sole rather than the upper.

NexX4 technology allows for the production of soles that are highly resistant to abrasion, measuring less than a millimeter in thickness and weighing 50% less than traditional rubber soles, all while maintaining high performance. Moreover, these soles perform optimally across a broad temperature range, from –40°C to +40°C.

The soles are transparent and fully customizable in terms of color, texture, and design, perfectly adapting to the specific needs of each brand.

In the Dragonfly shoes, NexX4 soles are integrated with a specialized tread design that supports players throughout every stage of the game. The tread block design ensures superior stability and grip for quick sprints and directional changes. Additionally, two large pivot points beneath the sole enhance turning efficiency and allow for quicker, more aggressive movements.

Every aspect of the Dragonfly has been meticulously designed. The robust midsole ensures comfort and optimal energy return, while a shock-absorbing heel insert minimizes impact during movement. The support structure offers added stability for rapid starts, stops, and lateral shifts.

“Our collaboration with Kanso marks NexX4’s entry into the indoor sports sector with a shoe that will boost the performance of athletes and sports enthusiasts,” states Ambrogio Merlo, CEO of JV International and Managing Director of NexX4. “The Dragonfly incorporates all the key features that make NexX4 technology unique – lightness, abrasion resistance, grip, and fully customized graphics.”

“The Dragonfly is a completely unique product that feels different from other indoor shoes,” remarks Tomas Solin, founder and developer of Kanso shoes. “The super-thin, yet grippy and durable NexX4 sole has allowed us to design a shoe that, in some ways, feels almost like a running shoe, but with the stability needed to move confidently on the court.”

Endorsed by Viktor Lindgren, captain of the Swedish national volleyball team, he states, “Dragonfly with NexX4 allows me to move quickly on the court and provides incredible cushioning and energy with every jump.”
