Danville, VA, [July 1, 2025] – Circ, a pioneering force in textile-to-textile recycling, has announced its inaugural collaboration with Zalando, Europe’s top online fashion and lifestyle platform. This partnership will debut the first pieces from Zalando’s private label, Anna Field, crafted from Circ Lyocell—a cutting-edge material derived partially from recycled polycotton textile waste.
The collection, launching on July 1st on Zalando, includes a blouse and a dress available in a stylish stone-washed dark blue. Both items are made entirely from Circ Lyocell, comprising 40% recycled textile waste. This initiative signifies a meaningful advancement in Zalando’s efforts to integrate innovative, recycled materials into its product offerings.
Anna Field is one of Zalando’s six private brands, serving as an incubator for new concepts and innovations. Each brand targets specific consumer groups, yet they all share a common goal of inclusivity and commitment to sustainable practices. This includes embracing circular design principles and utilizing innovative materials while maintaining competitive pricing. Renowned for its contemporary and feminine aesthetic, Anna Field provides an excellent platform to demonstrate how circular fashion can become more mainstream, while still adhering to high standards of quality, comfort, and design.
This collaboration with Circ aligns with Zalando’s broader commitment to circularity, further supported by its direct investment in Circ. By integrating Circ Lyocell into its private label range, Zalando is enhancing its efforts to create closed-loop supply chains, thereby making circularity more accessible and facilitating the transition to a sustainable fashion future.
“At Circ, we’re focused on proving that recycled materials can match – and even exceed – the quality, performance, and style of virgin fabrics,” said Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ. “Zalando’s scale and ambition make them an ideal partner to show what’s possible. We’re excited to launch this collection with Anna Field and make circular fashion more accessible to consumers across Europe.”
“Partnering with Circ allows us to bring cutting-edge recycled materials into our designs, expand our quality and more sustainable assortment, without compromising affordability,” stated Aylin Dobberstein, VP of Private Label & Product Supply at Zalando. “As both investors and collaborators, we’re proud that this Circ x Anna Field collection brings textile-to-textile recycling one step closer to the everyday wardrobe. It also reinforces our belief that advancing circularity at scale is only possible through strong, purpose-driven collaboration.”
Circ Lyocell is produced from pulp made from polycotton, a material that poses significant recycling challenges and often ends up in landfills or incinerators. Circ is at the forefront of recycling polycotton blends on a commercial scale, transforming them into high-quality new materials. This recycled pulp is then processed into premium lyocell fiber, enabling brands to significantly reduce their reliance on virgin resources while minimizing waste. As the demand for sustainable materials continues to grow globally, innovations like Circ’s provide scalable, impactful alternatives that propel the industry closer to a truly circular economy.
This release marks the first of several Zalando collections featuring Circ materials, with additional styles and labels anticipated in the coming months as part of Circ’s inaugural Fiber Club initiative.
