US-based apparel company Komar has joined forces with GreenStitch, an AI-driven sustainability intelligence platform, to launch the Supply Chain Sustainability Scorecard Digitalisation Project.
This collaborative initiative aims to create a unified digital system that measures, benchmarks, and manages sustainability performance across Komar’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
The new platform will integrate data from selected sources, including Higg FEM, ZDHC Gateway, and BHive, within GreenStitch’s advanced analytics system. This will grant Komar real-time visibility into essential environmental metrics that align with its 2030 Sustainability Strategy, facilitating consistent performance tracking, supplier benchmarking, and data-driven decision-making throughout its global supply chain.
Dr. Thiwanka, Komar’s chief sustainability officer, noted, “By using GreenStitch’s advanced analytics platform, Komar will accelerate sustainability engagements with suppliers and enable data-driven decision-making. This collaboration marks a significant step toward creating a more transparent, resilient, and sustainable future for our business and partners.”
GreenStitch’s founder and CEO, Narendra Makwana, commented, “Komar is among the first global apparel companies to institutionalize supplier sustainability performance, using a fully digital, analytics-driven scorecard across Tier 1 and Tier 2 operations.”
He further stated, “Komar is setting a new benchmark for how sustainability can be embedded in core sourcing and supplier management processes by moving beyond static assessments to real-time benchmarking and decision-ready insights. We believe this initiative will serve as a blueprint for the wider industry as brands look to build transparent, resilient, and future-ready supply chains.”
GreenStitch explained that the Supplier Sustainability Scorecard will serve as a central record system for evaluating supplier sustainability performance in alignment with Komar’s 2030 sustainability goals. This will enhance structured data collection, standardization, and continuous improvement efforts.
By adopting this innovative approach, Komar’s sustainability and sourcing teams will transition from periodic assessments to ongoing performance management, thereby strengthening supplier engagement and expediting progress towards the company’s sustainability objectives for 2030.
