In an impressive showcase of teamwork and technological advancement, O.R.V. MANUFACTURING S.P.A., Texnology s.r.l., and Trützschler Nonwovens have achieved a significant milestone in research and development during a recent trial held at Trützschler’s Technical Center in Egelsbach, Germany. This high-impact, two-day event marked a pivotal moment in the creation of next-generation filtration products tailored to meet intricate industrial needs.

Addressing Complexity with Precision

The trial tackled a comprehensive agenda that included:

  • 11 different fibers ranging from 1 to 40 Dtex

  • 7 unique fiber blends

  • 11 product variations with weights from 25 gsm to 850 gsm

To overcome these challenges, the team utilized Trützschler’s T-Suprema needle punching line, which exhibited remarkable versatility and accuracy throughout the trial. The successful execution of this test highlighted the T-Suprema’s capability to adapt to varied product specifications and customize its performance to meet specific client needs.

Exemplary Engineering Collaboration

The engineering team at Trützschler Nonwovens collaborated closely with O.R.V.’s production and R&D departments, enabling prompt problem-solving and solution execution. The trial not only confirmed the effectiveness of the T-Suprema line but also set the foundation for one of Europe’s largest filtration production lines, representing a substantial advancement for the nonwovens industry.

Looking Ahead

The development process is set to proceed with the next phases focused on thermofixation and finishing. During these stages, the collaborative teams will aim to refine the final characteristics of the filtration media. This partnership, characterized by technical synergy and a mutual dedication to innovation, is poised to influence the future of high-performance filtration products both in Europe and globally.
